Call for the creation of an International Research Network - "Political and Legal Recompositions. The state tested in C19 "

Creation of a French-speaking research network by Prof. De Waele, Pr. of Political Science at the Free University of Brussels (ULB).

At the invitation of the Academic and Cultural Relations Adida of Belgium in Brazil, follows the invitation for teachers who wish to participate in the French-speaking research network "Political and legal recompositions. The state tested in C19".

The world is going through its first global health crisis. This has and will have considerable consequences for our different societies and we do not know the result. The health crisis poses giant questions for the human and social sciences: each state, each society is trying to manage this new danger. "To understand, you have to compare," said political scientist G. Sartori.

This is why, with different colleagues, Pr. De Waele thought it would be interesting to create now a flexible network to analyze and compare the effects of the global health crisis on each of the political systems and on global "governance". The research question concerns the governance of the health crisis in its political and legal aspects: how does the fight against Covid-19 affect the governance of societies at local, national and global levels?

As the questions to be addressed are multidisciplinary, the network seeks to have several researchers per country. The following is a description of the project as well as the contacts of the researchers involved. To express interest, there is an attached document to fill out.
